A MAN has proved you don’t need to travel to Disney World to recreate the magic of the Lion King, after making an incredible nursery themed around the hit film for his lucky daughter.
The bloke used bargain buys from eBay, car boot sales and Dunelm, as well as branches he picked up in the local woods, to create an incredible bedroom for his little girl.
Sharing a video clip of his amazing DIY creation to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the proud dad explained how he shopped around for second-hand items and looked online for bargain buys.
“Seen a lot of room transformations on here so thought I’d share my Lion King theme nursery I’ve been working on,” he wrote. “Only cost about £300 for everything.”
Complete with a huge Lion King mural, animal themed curtains, an enormous plush Simba toy and other animals dotted around, the room looks like something straight out of Disney World.
To keep costs down, the thrifty dad upcycled furniture bought at car boot sales and added both a mural and a 3D wall to bring the room to life.

Topping it all off, he fastened branches found in a local woodland along with artificial leaves to the ceiling, along with low-hanging lights from eBay.
Even the shelves and brackets, which he nabbed for £20 from Etsy, are painted in bright shades of green and red to fit in with the jungle theme.
The most expensive part of the room was the furniture, which came to £80 total as a result of him scouring car boot sales for bargain buys.
The huge wall mural came from eBay and cost £55, while the blinds were £22 from Dunelm and curtains were homemade using £10 eBay fabric.
Other members of the group were astonished by the level of detail in the room and the bloke’s post has racked up over 5,600 likes.
One person commented: “Looks fantastic, well done.”
Meanwhile, another added: “That is amazing. My nephew would absolutely adore this room. He loves animals. Well done to you.”
