UFC president Dana White says Max Holloway “definitely” deserves a trilogy fight against Alexander Volkanovski.

Some bookies even refunded bets placed on Holloway to win after many deemed he was robbed on Fight Island.
Volkanovski claimed the belt from Holloway last December and hoped to cement his greatness following his first narrow decision victory.
But despite emerging triumphant earlier this month, doubts are still there, and White still feels Holloway deserves a rematch.
Speaking to ESPN, he said: “It’s hard to not say we can give Max a rematch for that fight again.
“Do it a third time. I think all of the fans and the media would agree with that.”

He also told CNN: “It’s the one tough part about the sport.
“The refs aren’t always going to be perfect; the judges aren’t always going to be perfect, and I haven’t really talked about this publicly, but you probably have to do the fight again.
“I don’t know if you give these guys another fight with somebody else, or what happens, but you definitely have to do this fight again.”

However, he did also state he believed Volkanovski would not agree to another showdown.
The 31-year-old Australian recently: “It’s pretty clear.
“When you win back-to-back, two wins in a row, to make a third one, it doesn’t really make sense – especially right now.”
