Here’s more of what we know.
Who is Neil Breen?
Neil Breen is an Australian radio host and television reporter.

He has worked for several Australian media outlets including 9 News, The Sunday Telegraph and The Today Show.
What did he say about Ellen DeGeneres?
Neil Breen claimed the chat show host had a series of “bizarre” demands when she appeared on his program, the Today show, in 2013.
Neil claimed Ellen was initially supposed to co-host the Today show during her 2013 tour of Australia, but this plan was repeatedly changed by her team.
Breen revealed that nobody was to talk to Ellen when she appeared on his show in 2013[/caption]
“The producer called us aside and said, ‘Now Neil, no one is to talk to Ellen. You don’t talk to her, you don’t approach her, you don’t look at her,’” he said.
Neil, who now hosts his own show, claimed Ellen’s staff were the only ones allowed to interact with her.
He alleged that they “walked on eggshells” around her and laughed so loudly at her jokes during the interview that he had to tell them to keep it down.
Why is Ellen receiving so much backlash?
Ellen has recently faced backlash after several reports have emerged that the host is “mean” and “rude” to her staff and guests.
Several people that have either worked with or visited Ellen’s show are coming forward to denounce her sunny image, claiming that behind the scenes, the comedian is a different person.
Ellen staff have reportedly been treated poorly[/caption]
Current staff echo those sentiments and are reportedly “distressed and outraged over their treatment.”
Despite Ellen’s reputation as a friend to the stars, many of her A-list pals haven’t been quick to come to her defense.
Earlier this month, Ellen employees revealed bombshell accusations they suffered from “racism, fear, and intimidation” on set.
Staff claimed the work environment on the set of her show is ‘toxic’[/caption]
One current and 10 former crew members from the daytime series spoke to BuzzfeedNews about the “toxic work environment” but remained anonymous due to fear of retribution.
The outlet said some staff claimed to have been fired because they took medical leave or bereavement days to attend family funerals.
Others alleged they were instructed by their managers to not speak directly to the 62-year-old comedian if they saw her at the office.
Following staffers’ allegations of a “toxic work environment,” The Ellen DeGeneres show’s parent company WarnerMedia has opened an investigation.
Has she responded to it?
Ellen issued an apology later as a result of the claims.
“On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case,” DeGeneres wrote.
Ellen said she was ‘disappointed’ to learn of the claims[/caption]
“I could not have the success I’ve had without all of your contributions. My name is on the show and everything we do and I take responsibility for that. Alongside Warner Bros., we immediately began an internal investigation and we are taking steps, together, to correct the issues.
“As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done.
“Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again,” she continued.
Who is Ed Glavin and is he getting fired?
There are rumors that Ed Glavin, an executive producer, is about to be fired as a result of an internal investigation into complaints of a toxic work environment at the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Glavin was part of a trio of senior producers closest to Ellen, which included Andy Lassner and Mary Connelly. Glavin is allegedly set to exit his role in the near future.
People have also accused executive producer Kevin Leman for behaving inappropriately at a company party in 2013 and in May 2017.
Is the show being investigated?
An internal investigation by parent company WarnerMedia is allegedly taking place after employees came forward about experiencing “racism, fear, and intimidation” while working on the talk show.

Telepictures – which produces the daytime series – and Warner Bros. – which is in charge of distribution – sent an e-mail to staffers last week to say they’re working with a third party firm, according to Variety.
Sources told the outlet in addition to the third party company, WarnerMedia’s employee relations group will also interview current and former workers about their experiences on set.
