The award-winning Australian-American actress is about to hit our screens again as Angie Dickinson in the new blockbuster focused on Chad Beguelin, Bob Martin and Matthew Sklar’s 2018 Broadway musical of the same name.

She’ll be joined by a list of other famous faces including Meryl Streep and James Corden – and it certainly looks like it’s not one to miss.

A first look at the official trailer teases that the film is jam-packed with all things glitz and glam, amazing performances and even better tunes to sing along to at home.

But one thing that really stands out is how amazing Nicole looks throughout.

In one scene the Big Little Lies star has her gorgeous blonde locks clipped back out of her face whilst wearing a sparkling green cocktail dress which shows off her slim figure.

Another shows the star rocking a little black dress with a fluffy trim, some knee-high boots and a matching baker hat.

The Prom follows the story of two New York City stage stars – Dee Dee Allen (Steep) and Barry Glickman (Corden) – who fall into a crisis when their show ended up being a major flop.

Meanwhile, over 700 miles away in Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan is trying to persuade her head teacher to allow her to take her girlfriend Alyssa to prom.

When the stars hear about her predicament, Dee Dee and Barry use it as the perfect opportunity to try and get their career back on track and make them liked again.

Their pals Angie Dickinson (Kidman) and Trent Oliver (Andrew Rannells) join them for the ride, but the foursome’s selfish motives soon back fire.

Yesterday it was revealed that the film is based on a true story that is inspired by lesbian teen who went through the same ordeal as protagonist Emma.

16-year-old Constance McMillen asked her teachers at Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton if it was okay to wear a tuxedo and take her girlfriend to the event.
